Today Is the First Day of the Rest of Your Life
Wow, I really shanked that one! Somedays wouldn’t it be nice to have a do-over? Just to wipe the slate clean and start all over again. Like when you snuck that second piece of chocolate cake, let your car run out of gas, or left your umbrella at home on any given Spring day in Louisiana?
We all have bad days occasionally but let us rejoice in the fact that ‘This is the first day of the rest of our lives!’ That’s a mantra that we share with the women who come to Mary’s House. No matter how bleak things may look at the moment, how difficult a pregnancy will be at this time in their life, we rejoice in the hope of a new day. A new day that promises God’s love, God’s grace, and God’s mercy.
There is a friend, a mentor and a comforting face at Mary’s House to help wipe that slate clean and start afresh! Every life is precious and beautiful, and I rejoice in the goodness that today, I was blessed to help a woman choose life!
Today, a mom decided that this is the first day in the life of her precious baby!
Have a wonderful week, starting Today!
