Women who come to Mary's House often lack family, emotional, and spiritual support. When she finds out she's pregnant, fear causes her to be overwhelmed and she just wants to get out of the situation.

But your donation provides ultrasounds, pregnancy tests and help getting a doctor at no cost to her. A single mom finds out that there are resources available, so her mind is changed. She can choose life!

Mary's House and area churches host Embrace Grace groups for single and pregnant women. They find support within the church. Embrace Life and the Education Initiative help single moms with parenting and furthering education goals.

At Mary's House, you make it possible for pregnant women to discover the love of God from people she doesn't even know.

Melody's Story

Surfing the internet looking for help for pregnant women, I found Mary’s House. I emailed them for an appointment, but I doubted they would respond. Of course, they did!

At my appointment at Mary’s House, I was invited to join Embrace Grace – I had no idea what it would be like, but I casually replied, “Sure, why not?”

The mentors in Embrace Grace were kind, helpful, and loving. They showered us with love, counseling, prayer. One of the best nights of Embrace Grace was writing my hopes on a helium balloon and letting it fly away to heaven! I had so many hopes for me and my children, but I didn’t know how they would ever come true.

At the end of the 12 weeks, over 50 women joined the mentors of our group to throw us a huge Baby Shower at the church. I thought it was lovely and I am forever thankful for that time.

If it weren’t for Mary’s House, I wouldn’t have known that strangers could open up and be so loving. I still have a bond with the women who were my mentors. They were such a big help to me at a very hard time in my life. They taught me that I could find good in things in life.

Thank you, Mary’s House for responding so quickly to my email! I was able to see what true love is!

Tariyah's Story

I made an appointment at Mary’s House when I was 7 weeks pregnant, it was my first child, and I wasn’t married - I was in shock. After the appointment at Mary’s House , I felt like “I can do this.” With excitement in my heart, I called the baby’s father, but he wasn’t feeling the same joy I was, and this made me feel like maybe it wasn’t a good idea to be pregnant. I contemplated for 4 weeks about raising a child on my own and the difficulties I would face. I decided God had a plan for my life.

A couple of months passed, and Mary’s House reached out to me again. I needed support and someone who cared – Mary’s House gave that to me. Mary’s House became my safe haven where I got healing of hurts, positive feedback and encouraging words to help me have a healthy and happy pregnancy.

They changed my life so much through continuing to love me, that my relationship with my family was mended. My baby boy was born healthy and happy. For all that Mary’s House did for me, I will be forever grateful.
